Midland
Hey Guys!
I got a request from someone asking what it was like living here in Midland. Now, I am NO expert and I have only lived in a few large cities (and a few smaller ones) but I must say, so far Midland is one of the nicest. There are a lot of friendly people (in some ways, friendlier than some of the large cities). =) I feel like it is really starting to cater to the younger professional group. In fact, there is a Young Professionals organization that brings together young professionals from all different arenas.
On a personal level, there are other gathering places to meet people of similar interests such as churches, schools, and other social establishments.
Midland has junior college that offers lots of different programs including a professional pilot program. 
We have a lot of professionals relocating from the larger cities specifically for the “feel” of Midland. The best way to describe the atmosphere here is a large city trapped in a small city’s body. Midland is growing by leaps and bounds and is very welcoming to all new comers. =)
